In order to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy you must be a wage earner. Under Chapter 13 the bankruptcy court will establish a repayment plan for you. It is important for you to remember that during this 3 to 5 year time period you must make every monthly payment. If you miss a payment your bankruptcy case is subject to a dismissal and you could lose your house. Do not let that happen.
